Καλές διακοπές στην Κρήτη!
We wish you a wonderful holiday in Crete!
Car Pick-Up Directly at Heraklion Airport
Picking up your rental car directly at the airport is undoubtedly the most convenient way to explore Crete and uncover the secrets of this stunning island.
Why waste precious vacation time searching for a rental car locally or spend your first hours on the island in often unpleasant transfer buses? These buses frequently take up to three hours for a journey that should only take 30 minutes, as they stop at every hotel to unload passengers and luggage…
Your vehicle from autotravel.gr, however, will already be waiting for you at our company parking lot right at the airport – fully fueled upon request (please specify when making your reservation)! Just minutes after your arrival, you can start enjoying the beauty of our island.
And it’s this simple:
Please proceed to the autotravel.gr rental car stand, which is just a few meters from the main exit:
And just in case: You can always reach us at this number: +302897022232. Our staff speaks German, English and Greek.
Vehicle Return at the Airport
On your departure day, please return your autoKreta.de rental car to our stand at the airport. If the stand is unattended, you can drop the keys in our “key drop” located right next to the door. This saves time, as you don’t need to wait.
Car Pick-Up at Chania Airport
Pick-up and drop-off at Chania Airport is currently only available by individual arrangement.
Fuel Policy Information
There are two fuel policy options that you can choose during booking. These are:
- Part to Part – Best Choice for Fuel Policy*
This policy means no additional charges on-site. You take over the current fuel level and return the car with the same level. Please note that we cannot guarantee a specific fuel level at pick-up. - Full to Empty
You receive the car with a full tank and return it empty. For this option, the fuel cost must be paid upon collection. Alternatively, you can pre-order fuel for a set amount (e.g., €90) during booking.
*Why is “Part to Part” the best choice?
While “Full to Full” is often highlighted as a favorite, it has its downsides. Most cars don’t have an exact fuel gauge, and inaccuracies are most common with a “full” reading. Some models show “full” even after 10 km of driving. This could result in the next renter losing up to €20 (at current fuel prices).
Additional Tips:
Please remember to bring your driver’s license – don’t leave it at home!
